Our Origins Story

In 2016, we started the journey of building a platform that could measure 'good', just like profitability is measured. Our founders Gagandeep K. Bhullar & Aalok A. Deshmukh left their high-powered corporate jobs with the vision of powering a better world with data. After 30 months of rigorous R&D, we launched an early prototype of our data models with a Fortune 500 company in the BFSI sector. The platform went straight from the lab into the hands of people in over 50 locations, with varying levels of educational qualifications and multiple native languages. While the challenge statement from the client's Audit Committee of the Board was for us to help visualise impact as a vector for access to capital, we were compelled to solve for the constraints around data capture. In 3 years, our client had increased the capital for impact investments from 7Mn to 1.4Bn! Parallely, the SHR platform evolved to offer dynamic translation in 133 languages along with hundreds of templates and pre-loaded automations to accelerate the measurement of impact, regardless of the maturity of client teams.

We were able to build a platform that is plug and play across 77 industries and 40+ thematic areas of impact because we believe that we are a bunch of incredibly passionate climate warriors and data nerds. We love solving for intersections with data across the different definitions of good from business sustainability to community & personal impact.
