UN SDGs:

Description:

Women, especially in low-income and marginalized communities, face disproportionate challenges regarding nutrition and health education. Globally, women are disproportionately affected by food insecurity. According to a 2023 UNICEF report, more than 1 billion adolescent girls and women suffer from undernutrition. The gender gap in food insecurity more than doubled between 2019 and 2021, increasing from 49 million to 126 million. From maternal malnutrition to food insecurity, gender gaps in access to nutritious food and healthcare impact millions.

How can we ensure that women are prioritized in hunger and health education initiatives?

As per your opinion, should the focus be on raising awareness about gender-specific nutrition, implementing targeted nutrition programs, or strengthening policies to ensure equitable access to food and healthcare?
