UN SDGs:

Description:

An attempt has been made to debate the crimes against women in contemporary modern times. In India, women are trapped in a lot of ways. Crimes aren't confined to a selected group, class, culture, or country. Not only in the modern period, women are suffering for a long period in India. Even after several legislative, and other measures by the govt. the speed of crime against women isn't declining.

Harsher punishment

Harsher punishment

More severe punishments rather than just 7 to 10 years of jail could cause potential attackers to fear the consequences of their actions that they will take

Fast-track courts

Fast-track courts

It is no news that Indian courts of law take a lot of time to come to a decisive judgement quickly and keep waiting for the next dates for evidence to arrive. This can cause changes in the way the case progresses.

Better patrolling

Better patrolling

Police patrolling focused on the safety of women in prone areas are a must and is a way to ensure no crimes take place as they used to.

 Better parenting

Better parenting

It is no doubt that there are men who believe what they do would result in no consequences and their actions reflect their upbringing and lack of respect. This can be changed through better parenting focused on explaining why respecting women and abiding by laws are important.

Sensitisation of police

Sensitisation of police

Police should be sensitised to the fact that FIRs should be taken into account ASAP rather than further notice or evidence to show up in order to help make women feel safer once they have been mistreated.
